Roof Insurance Claims Made Simple
Most homeowners leave thousands on the table filing claims alone. We handle the entire process — from inspection to final check — so you get every dollar you’re owed.
We Work the Insurance System — So You Don’t Have To
Insurance adjusters work for the insurance company. We work for you. Our team knows exactly how to document, file, and negotiate claims to maximize your payout and minimize what comes out of your pocket.
- Full damage documentation with photos and written report
- We file the claim on your behalf
- We meet your adjuster on-site and present our findings
- We negotiate underpaid or denied claims
- Most homeowners pay only their deductible — often $0 labor cost
What Your Claim Should Include
Adjusters commonly miss or undervalue these items. We document and include everything.
Full Roof Replacement
When damage exceeds 25–30% of a roof, insurance should cover full replacement — not patch repairs. We document to support this.
Decking Replacement
Hail and water damage often affects the roof deck below shingles. We assess and include this in the claim scope.
Gutters & Downspouts
Hail dents metal gutters and downspouts. This is covered damage that adjusters routinely omit from estimates.
Flashing & Ventilation
Ridge vents, pipe boots, and step flashing take direct hail hits. We ensure these are replaced — not just patched.
Code Upgrade Items
If your home requires code-mandated upgrades at time of replacement, your policy may cover them. We know which ones apply.
Depreciation Recovery
With RCV (replacement cost value) policies, you’re entitled to recover depreciation. We walk you through the final supplemental process.
The Process — Start to Finish
Free Inspection
We get on your roof, photograph every impact and damage point, and produce a full adjuster-ready report.
File the Claim
We file your claim or help you file it, and make sure the storm date and all damage types are properly documented.
Adjuster Meeting
We meet the adjuster at your home, present our findings side-by-side, and make sure nothing is missed or undervalued.
Approval & Completion
Once approved, we complete the work and handle any remaining paperwork, including depreciation recovery on RCV policies.
Common Questions
- Should I file a claim or pay out of pocket? If damage is significant (typically over $2,000–$3,000), filing a claim is almost always the right move. We’ll give you an honest assessment of what your insurance should cover before you decide.
- What if my adjuster says the damage isn’t covered? This happens regularly. We can provide a second opinion, re-inspection documentation, and file a supplemental claim. Carrier decisions are not always final.
- How do I know if I have replacement cost vs. actual cash value?Check your declarations page for ‘RCV’ or ‘ACV.’ Most newer policies are RCV. We’ll explain what that means for your payout.
- What carriers do you work with?We work with all major Texas carriers — State Farm, Allstate, USAA, Farmers, Liberty Mutual, Nationwide, and more. Each has different processes and we know how to work with all of them.
- How long do I have to file a claim in Texas?Texas gives you 1 year from the date of the storm event. Missing this deadline means your claim can be denied regardless of the damage. Call us as soon as possible.
What Austin Homeowners Are Saying
After the April hailstorm I had no idea where to start. Texas Roof Damage came out the next day, handled my entire State Farm claim, and I got a brand new roof for just my deductible. Incredible service.
My adjuster missed half the damage. These guys brought their own documentation and got the full replacement approved on appeal. Crew was clean, fast, and professional from start to finish.
Called three roofers after the storm. Texas Roof Damage was the only one who got on my roof and showed me the damage on video before I committed to anything. Transparent and professional.
